PHP 8.4 was officially released on November 21st, 2024, bringing notable performance gains, new language features such as property hooks and asymmetric visibility, and continued security support. We are pleased to make PHP 8.4 available across our CloudLinux and DirectAdmin servers, where you can select it per-domain through the PHP version selector in your control panel.
To finish rolling out the new version and complete the supporting updates, we have scheduled maintenance for 2:00AM to 5:00AM EST on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. Existing sites will remain on their currently selected PHP version and will not be changed automatically; you are welcome to test 8.4 at your convenience. This work leans on our network's redundancy and resiliency, so no further action is required on your part.
