A scheduled maintenance window is planned for the early morning of Sunday, October 24th, 2021, beginning at 2:00AM and concluding by 6:00AM EDT. Alongside our monthly kernel and security patching, this window will include preparatory work for our upcoming operating system migration. With CentOS 8 reaching end of life on December 31st, 2021, we have begun planning a phased migration to AlmaLinux 8 to keep our platform on a fully supported, security-maintained foundation.
The preparatory steps in this window are non-disruptive and take advantage of our network's redundancy and resiliency, so no further action is required on your part. The most you should witness are potential brief periods of increased latency and/or packet loss. We will communicate the migration schedule for individual hosts well in advance.
